Vocal Health Tip - Cool Down

We singers are musical athletes. So it makes sense that  we should treat our time singing much like an athlete treats their own practice routines. A great tip is to take time at the end of your practice session or after rehearsing to “cool down.” Try to help relax your body and slowly come to a stop rather than just abruptly stop singing. This can take form in singing through some older, comfortable repertoire or running through some simple vocal exercises. Whatever you choose for your cool down, just make sure you think of it as a mindful end to your singing time. This may also help you make sure that each and every practice ends with a positive mindset as well.
